Assistant Project Manager-Airside Construction (DFW Airport)

We partner with owners, contractors, and public agencies to deliver mission-critical work in regulated, operational environments including major airports across the U.S. 

This is a field-driven Assistant Project Manager role supporting airside construction inside DFW’s secure operating environment. You will work directly with the Airside PM, Superintendent, QA/QC, and DFW stakeholders to keep work moving within tight access windows, permit controls, and operational constraints.

This role is for someone who already understands how airport projects actually run, not someone learning airside for the first time.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Support daily execution of airside construction activities at DFW
• Coordinate with DFW Operations, Permitting, and Airfield Safety teams
• Track submittals, RFIs, permits, and work approvals required to enter secure areas
• Support schedule control for night work, shutdowns, and phased access windows
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and field crews
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
• Surface access, sequencing, or safety issues before they impact operations

• You’ve worked nights to meet airfield windows
• You know why a task can’t just “start tomorrow” at an airport
• You’ve coordinated work around aircraft operations, not around convenience

• Prior airside construction experience (DFW strongly preferred)
• Experience supporting active airport projects with restricted access
• Working knowledge of: 
  • Airport permitting and badging processes
  • FAA and airport operational requirements
  • Night work and non-standard schedules
• Experience working closely with PMs and Superintendents in the field
