Associate Golf Professional

Racine Country Club is seeking an Associate Golf Professional to join our team for the golf season. The Associate Golf Professional assists the Director of Golf (D.O.G.) in the management of day-to-day Golf Operations of the facility. The position is responsible for supervising and managing total golf operations in the absence of the Director of Golf. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all Members.
This is a seasonal position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all facets of golf operations, including the supervision and training of outside services, starters, and rangers
Assist with Member check in; control and manage play
Assist with Opening and Closing Procedures
Assist in managing tournament operations and weekly events including planning, electronic and in person communication, pre-tournament event sheets, post tournament billing, promotion, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
Assist D.O.G. with management of outside operations staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
Assist in managing golf cart fleet, practice facility, and club storage
Directly responsible for timely and consistently maintaining RCC’s USGA Handicap System
Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, special orders, ordering procedures, receiving procedures, displays, and sales
Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments
Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times

Qualifications

Level 2 PGA Apprentice or above, and/or a PGA Class B Membership is a plus but not required
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations preferred but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
Customer service oriented and self-motivated
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills

Education

Business-related Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, but current enrollment in a degree program will also be considered.
College students seeking a summer position should apply; this role provides valuable experience in a golf-related setting.
1-2 years of experience and/or training in a golf-related role is a plus but not required.
