We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our team, specializing in residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accurate drawings and construction documents for single-family homes, multi-family housing, and residential renovations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to bring residential designs to life.
This role is fully onsite in the Tampa FL area
6 Month Contract to Hire, Salary: $25-30/hr
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential construction projects.
- Interpret sketches, design notes, and verbal instructions from architects and designers into professional working drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and company drafting standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from design leads, engineers, and clients.
- Maintain organized electronic drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify design intent and resolve drafting issues.
Requirements:
- 3+ years architectural drafting experience
- Experience with residential drafting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
$25 - $30 an hour
