What you will be doing:

• Perform professional accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting


• Engage in technical training with a strong focus on accounting principles


• Maintain various specialized accounting records


• Compile and analyze large amounts of financial data


• Read and interpret statutes and regulations


• Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Pronouncements


• Understand General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and GAAP Financial Statements


• Utilize Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Access

Experience you will need:

• Must have a CPA or BS in Accounting


• Must have 10+ years of experience working with FASB/GASB


• Must have 10+ years of experience in financial statement preparation


• Must be advanced in Microsoft Office


• Must have experience with General Ledger systems (Quickbooks, PeachTree, CYMA, FLAIR, etc.)


• Ability to create, update, and manage desk procedures


• Must have experience with financial and programmatic compliance audits
