Job Description - Camp Program Director

The Camp Program Director is a full-time, temporary position from June 1st - August 7th, 2026 at the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp in Chelsea, MI.

Responsibilities

Serve as the lead contact responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp
Create and implement camper curriculum and staff training modules with guidance from MUCC’s Education Director
Deliver instruction and programming in an enthusiastic, safe, and responsible manner
Supervise campers and staff members and provide positive leadership
Manage camp communications, including email, social media, and the camp cell phone
Assist with daily facility management and administrative duties as assigned by the Education Director
Perform daily camp tasks and safely traverse the camp’s 250-acre property
Live on-site during the camp season (private director housing provided)

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older
Experience working with children
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively with MUCC staff
Physically capable of performing duties in an outdoor camp environment
