The Position: The Campus Ambassador is primarily responsible for executing outreach marketing strategies to attract prospects, build brand awareness, and drive leasing traffic to the property. A successful Campus Ambassador will effectively connect with the student community, generate high-quality leads, and creatively promote the brand. These efforts will play an important role in positioning Tailwind as the premier choice for student housing in the represented market. 

The Property: The Quarters at Bloomington is a premier housing community consisting of 178 units and 477 beds, built and designed with Indiana University – Bloomington students in mind.  

This is a temporary position working a variable schedule which may include nights and weekends, not to exceed 29.5 hours per week. The anticipated employment period will be the fall semester: August - December.

The compensation rate for this position is $14.00 per hour. This rate is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities.  

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Model and cascade Tailwind Group’s five core values: Entrepreneurial, Versatile, Responsive, Innovative, and Integrity.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the university by engaging with student organizations, university departments, and athletics to drive awareness, partnerships, and referrals.
  • Execute various outreach marketing strategies including campus marketing, tabling at events such as housing fairs, participating in dorm/competitor storms, and performing outreach to local businesses.
  • Directly engage with students to promote our student housing property and brand.
  • Develop and distribute compelling marketing materials, including giveaway materials and social media content.
  • Ensure that materials are effectively deployed within the market.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, assess competitor marketing activity, and understand student needs and preferences. 
  • Share insights with the property management team to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Track, analyze, and report on outreach efforts to generate high-quality leads and measure campaign effectiveness. 
  • Make data-driven suggestions to improve future marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with property goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience in marketing, event planning, or student outreach is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a growing, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong social media skills including experience in content creation. 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and connect with diverse groups and generate leads.
  • Ability to have a positive and innovate approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends based on event and campaign schedule.
