Certified Nursing Assistant - Summer job for Nursing Students

We have the perfect position for you - a temporary job in a learning environment.

• Start Date: 5/5 or 5/19 (earlier dates are available if you are)
  • Minimum Duration:  5/19/25-8/02/25 (a 10+-week commitment)
• Schedule: 3 - 5 shifts per week (including, an every other weekend rotation)
• Shift: PM shift (3pm-11pm) and/or Overnights (11pm-7am)
• Salary: $22-$23.50 based on experience
  • Bonus $$:  stay thru 8/02/25 and receive a $500 completion bonus

A little more about our center:

West Chicago Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) with 120 beds, proudly serving the behavioral/psych population.  We are in a quiet residential area, across the street from an elementary school and easy to commute to.  A few key highlights:

• Highly ranked Quality Measures – this means we provide excellent clinical care!
• The average age of our patients is 35-55 and the most common diagnoses are schizophrenia, bi-polar and major depressive disorders.
• Our residents have created a garden club, a poetry club and are eager to interact with you.  Many of them return to the community (or home) after residing with us.
• We welcome new grads and work with students from multiple schools/universities in the area.
  • Our nurse orientation program is extensive – let us teach you.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

As an RN or LPN Student Nurse, this would be an excellent opportunity to work in learning environment. Sharpen your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) skills while working side by side with some talented nurses and clinicians.

Duration:  This is a 10+ week summer position; mid-May thru mid-August.  If you want to stay with us as a PRN employee after 8/02/25, you can.  You’ll then be expected to pick up shifts during your future holiday or semester breaks.

What we need from you: 

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - specifically for the state of IL
• Currently enrolled in a Nurse Education Program (Associates or Bachelor’s level)
• Ability to remain calm and smile during challenging situations
• You must start on or before 5/19/25 and commit to stay thru 8/02/25 (10 weeks)

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT.  We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs), Short-term Care Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care (ICFs), and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
