Job Description - Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

Adelphi is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide contract services at a state-operated healthcare facility in Missouri. CNAs will support the facility's clinical staff by delivering basic patient care, maintaining safety protocols, and assisting with daily healthcare tasks in a secure psychiatric hospital environment.

• Shift Schedule: 4x12-hour shifts per week (Day: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Night: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), may include weekends/holidays.

Requirements:

• Valid Missouri CNA certification.

• Current BLS certification.

• Must attend a mandatory 5-week New Employee Orientation.

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends/holidays as needed.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care including hygiene, ambulation, transfers, and vital signs.

• Maintain documentation of patient location, activities, and condition changes.

• Escort patients within the facility and occasionally offsite.

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of shared patient areas.

• Promote safety by identifying and addressing hazards or emergencies.

• Initiate corrective actions when appropriate.

• Communicate effectively with staff to support continuity of care..

• Adhere to all facility-specific policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.

• Demonstrate required procedural competencies for assigned tasks.

• Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership.
