CHILDCARE LEAD TEACHER

Infant (Crawlers) Room

ESS/Willsub Employee 

Required Qualifications:

• Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances


• CDA,  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development


• Must obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification


• Experience working with infant children


• 1-2 years working with early childhood aged children

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Experience working with infants. 


• Primary responsibilities under daily supervision of the childcare director include daily teaching and supervision of children, daily supervision of childcare staff 


• Michigan’s Infant and Toddler Development And Care Practices Course Completion


• Familiar with early childhood standards and benchmarks, preferred


• Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum, preferred


• Strong computer skills


• Willingness to accept and perform additional duties/responsibilities as assigned 


• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure student success and a positive caring environment 

A successful candidate will be able to:

• Assist in assessing Children’s growth and development


• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines


• Lead classroom staff in a positive manner


• Have a positive and caring attitude


• Possess strong organizational and communication skills
