Classroom Kitchen Aide (Temporary/On-call)

Rural Resources Community is seeking a Classroom Kitchen Aide. This is a Temporary/On-call position based in our Colville, WA Smart Start Learning Center.

In this key role, you would be responsible for: 

* Assisting teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and active supervision, both inside the classroom and during outside time.

* Assisting in physical preparation of the classroom, moving furniture, rugs, classroom materials, set-up of bulletin boards and displays, etc.

* Housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance duties, which include preparing cleaning solutions, laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting sinks and bathrooms, sanitizing tables and classroom materials; deep cleaning of classrooms, kitchens and storage areas; outside playground maintenance, clean up and organization, etc.

* Preparation of classroom meals. This includes food preparation, serving, clean-up and required mealtime paperwork. Shopping and transporting of food may also be required.

* Engaging with groups of children during some classroom activities, using developmentally appropriate communication and following child guidance policies and procedures, both inside the classroom and during outside time.

Salary Information 

Our Classroom Kitchen Aide position is offered at $18.48 to $19.99 per hour. Actual wage will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, experience and qualifications. Employees who successfully meet or exceed performance expectations during their annual performance evaluation will be eligible for a 4% wage increase. 

The full salary range for this position is $18.48 to $30.77 per hour and represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position.
