Job Schedule:Full time, MondayâFriday 8:00 AMâ5:00 PM; some evenings and events every other weekend; 40 hours/week

Summary
Support the Public Health Departmentâs Outreach team by delivering community education, connecting residents to public health services, and assisting lead poisoning prevention and environmental public health outreach. Temporary fullâtime assignment to maintain outreach operations during staff leave
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Conduct community outreach at events, clinics, schools, and neighborhood locations.
Educate residents about public health programs and lead poisoning prevention.
Serve as a liaison between community members and public health programs and services.
Complete inâoffice tasks including documentation, data entry, outreach planning, and followâup.
Represent the Public Health Department professionally at public events and community meetings.
Coordinate logistics for outreach events and assist with materials distribution.
Report to the Outreach Cohort Supervisor and follow timekeeping and program procedures.
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Skills
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Experience in community outreach, public health education, or related nonprofit/government outreach roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in the field and completing inâoffice administrative tasks.
Reliable transportation for community\-based work.
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Familiarity with lead poisoning prevention or environmental public health is a plus.
Basic computer skills for email, data entry, and reporting; laptop provided.

Regular outreach across the county; some outdoor and communityâbased settings.
