Compliance Specialist

Somerset Pacific is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable Compliance Specialist to join our team at our Renaissance Gateway property in Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you’ll help ensure that all LIHTC, HUD, ADA, Fair Housing, and other federal and state regulations are met across our portfolio of communities. Your work will directly support our mission to provide quality housing while maintaining the highest compliance standards.

This is a temporary position not to exceed 90 days.

What You’ll Do:

• Review resident re-certification documents to confirm completeness and compliance with state guidelines.


• Monitor and apply LIHTC, HUD, ADA, Fair Housing, and state-specific housing regulations.


• Respond to property managers in a timely manner.


• Enter and maintain accurate information in company software systems and spreadsheets.


• Track files, scan and file documentation, and ensure records are organized and accessible.


• Verify income limits and utility allowances are correctly entered into systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven knowledge of LIHTC regulations (Section 42), HUD requirements, ADA guidelines, Fair Housing laws, and relevant state housing manuals.


• Strong communication skills—clear, respectful, and professional in both verbal and written interactions.


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive documentation.


• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.


• A commitment to integrity, accountability, and delivering high-quality work.


• Comfortable with software programs, spreadsheets, and document management tools.
