Fugro is seeking a highly capable professional-level Claims & Risk Coordinator to lead and enhance day-to-day claims-related processes across workers' compensation, general liability, auto, and building maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to help redefine and structure this role to align with Fugro’s internal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the central communicator for claims coordination across departments (Legal, HSSE, Finance, Benefits, Brokers, XMD CMs, and Adjusters)
• Track, log, and confirm claim payments and documentation
• Write and implement practical claims and risk protocols within the first 3–4 weeks
• Manage communications with injured workers and stakeholders
• Develop processes for general claims, including auto, property, and workers’ comp
• Provide support and coordination for legal, compliance, and risk functions

Collaborate closely with legal counsel and internal risk management.

Requirements

? Required Skills & Experience:

• Professional background in insurance, legal, nursing, case management, or risk administration
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Workers’ compensation, insurance, and DOL processes
  • Certificates of insurance (COIs), auto claims, and the Jones Act
  • Building maintenance claims and documentation workflows
• Effective written and verbal communication with legal, leadership, and external parties
• Proven ability to challenge outdated processes and introduce effective improvements
• Experience writing SOPs, claims procedures, or risk protocols is highly valued

• Timeline:  Interviews to be completed by end of June (panel includes Legal and Risk Manager)
• Worksite:  Hybrid – significant in-office collaboration required, ideally Houston-based
• Contract Type: 1099 independent contractor
