Position Highlights:

• Long-term contract with potential for extension 
• Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Services at GIMC Hospital
• 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week 
• Can work on any US license

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school 
• Active pharmacy license in any U.S. state
• Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy experience 
• Prior IHS or federal facility experience preferred 
• Contract experience is highly desired 
• Must be able to pass a federal background check 

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret physician orders to ensure accurate, safe medication therapy 
• Dispense medications and provide thorough patient counseling 
• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication effectiveness 
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage protocols 
• Prepare sterile medications following aseptic techniques 
• Collaborate across hospital departments, including pediatric units 
• Offer clinical guidance on pain management and drug interactions

• Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
• Previous contract experience is a plus
• Previous IHS facility experience helpful
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency
• Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the      District of Columbia.
• Maintain continuing education/certification
• Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months
• References required
• Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
