Client: US Army via Team DDB

TeamDDB is an integrated agency team composed of multiple Omnicom agencies and one outside research agency. TeamDDB is exclusively dedicated to servicing the US Army’s Recruitment Mission. DDB is the prime agency, positioning it as the leader and chief integrator of the group. TeamDDB is approximately 100+ people strong, headquartered in Chicago but with local teams across the country and a few agency specialists in Washington DC and Houston.

Responsibilities 

At DDB, our Contract Specialist is responsible for all aspects of contract administration on assigned projects. Under the supervision of a Contracts Manager, this role will support and/or perform all activities related to the development and administration of contracts and subcontracts, ensuring adherence to the federal government contract, overall business strategy and corporate policies. 

This is an entry level job with growth potential within the team. This position is equivalent to a federal contract specialist in the GS-6 - 9 pay scale.

Required Skills

• Candidate has a keen eye for detail with regards to reviewing documentation and following the established policies and procedures.


• The ability to write clear and concise documents with little supervision.


• The ability to review and assist in the preparation of Cost Proposals and Statements of Work. 


• Ability to adapt to new environments and processes. Learn new technical skills and keep up with industry developments.


• Candidate must be articulate, demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, people, and organizational skills.


• The successful candidate must possess a demonstrated ability to deal with project deadlines and ambiguity.


• Candidate must be self-motivated, resourceful, and organized, taking ownership of all assigned work.


• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• A bachelor’s degree in a business discipline


• Internships, or temporary assignments, with directly related experience preferred.


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


• US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.
