Downtown Music Publishing is looking for a part-time Copyright, Conflicts (Temp) to join our Copyright team for 3+ months. This individual will be focused on assisting the Copyright team on the resolution of copyright conflicts for Songtrust and Downtown Music Publishing catalog. Our team takes pride in accuracy and detail, but also in efficient collaboration with the other departments within Downtown’s Rights Management Operations.

This hybrid position can be based in our New York City or Nashville location.

What you'll do: 

• Manage and monitor the counterclaim email inbox, providing daily support and timely responses


• Support the direct manager on projects related to copyright conflict resolution


• Monitor and resolve counterclaims for high-streaming works within the Songtrust catalog across global pay sources


• Partner with the Client Services team and clients to review counterclaims and obtain supporting documentation


• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed to support team

You are / have: 

• 0-1 year of professional work experience; ideally on the administrative side of music publishing


• A critical thinking problem-solver with a passion for publishing administration and data


• Self starter that enjoys taking proactively seeking solutions and jump starting initiatives


• Curious. You have a desire to learn about copyright and publishing administration


• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, deadline driven department

Downtown Music provides base salary ranges for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The pay rate for this position is $18/hr.
