GALAXYCON CREW MEMBER

Temporary Work | Event-Based | Multiple U.S. Cities

GalaxyCon is hiring Crew Members to support our live pop culture conventions in all cities where we currently host events. This is temporary, event-based work supporting various departments onsite.

Crew Members report directly to their assigned Department Lead, who serves as their primary point of contact during the show.

AVAILABLE DEPARTMENTS

We are hiring for departments based on show needs.

• Talent – Hiring Manager: Jess Gibson


• Registration – Hiring Managers: Karen Small & Rebeca Peppes


• Merchandise (Merch) – Hiring Manager: Zane Riley


• Programming – Hiring Manager: Nick Unthank


• Photo Ops – Hiring Manager: Pedro Rivera

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties vary by department but may include:

• Assisting guests, attendees, and talent


• Managing lines and crowd flow


• Supporting panels, photo ops, or merchandise areas


• Checking in attendees and distributing badges


• Providing excellent customer service


• Following direction from your Department Lead

Crew Members must:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time


• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds


• Maintain a professional and positive attitude


• Work well in fast-paced environments

SCHEDULE & HOURS

• All positions are day shifts during event days


• Hours vary based on show needs


• You may be released early depending on staffing needs


• Exact call times will be provided before the event

Please plan ahead:

• Plan for high volumes of traffic for leaving and entering the site location.


• Pick up your badge at the Info Booth before your shift.

PAY & COMPENSATION

• Hourly pay varies by city and local requirements
  


• There is no reimbursement for parking, travel, or food
  

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Crew Members are expected to:

• Arrive on time and ready to work


• Remain at assigned posts unless directed otherwise


• Follow instructions from their Department Lead


• Stay engaged and limit personal phone use while on duty


• Represent GalaxyCon professionally at all times

A signed liability waiver will be required and attached to the contract.

Applicants may apply to one department only per event.

If a department is full:

• Applicants will receive a notification that positions have been filled.


• Strong candidates may be invited to apply for a different department.


• Please note at the time of applying you can select multiple departments.
