JOB OVERVIEW



• Job Title: Crisis Intervention Specialist – Psych/Mental Health



• Job Type: Contract



• Location: Bozeman, MT



• Service Setting: Emergency/Behavioral Health



• Coverage Type: Clinical Only



• Coverage Period: 7/14/2025 – 10/13/2025



• Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 x 12hr shifts, variable



• Rate: $61.70/hr







PATIENT INFORMATION



• Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics



• Patient Volume/Census: TBD



• Case Mix: Behavioral Health Crisis, Psychiatric Emergency, Addictions







FACILITY INFORMATION



• No. of Beds in Department: 50–149



• Trauma Level: Level 3



• EMR System: Epic



• Office Equipment Available: TBD



• Specialty Backup Available: Interdisciplinary team



• Support Staff Available: Medical team, family, social services



• Reason for Coverage: Staff need/expansion







REQUIRED PROCEDURES



• Psychosocial assessments



• Drug/alcohol brief assessments



• Crisis intervention and inpatient diversion







JOB REQUIREMENTS



• Licenses: Licensed as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in MT



• Certifications: American Heart Association BLS; MHPP preferred



• Experience: Less than 1 year acceptable; 3–5 years preferred in crisis settings



• Other Qualifications: Master’s in Social Work or comparable clinical program







DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



• Provide urgent behavioral health care in emergency and acute settings



• Deliver brief assessments and crisis stabilization



• Support care coordination, family/patient communication, and discharge planning



• Work independently and collaboratively across disciplines



• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold trauma-informed practices
