DC Power Technician - Wireless

Our client, a leader in wireless installation and maintenance, has 2 immediate needs for experienced DC Power Technicians. These are 6-month contract-to-hire roles.

Day-to-day job responsibilities: DC Power upgrades and maintenance for client wireless sites throughout North and South Carolina and Tennessee.

  Perform installation, upgrade, and testing of DC power systems at wireless telecom sites, including rectifiers, inverters, battery strings (VRLA and Li-ion), BDFBs, and load centers.

  Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of existing DC systems, identifying and replacing failed components with minimal network downtime.

  Execute battery load testing, IR scans, voltage measurements, torque checks, grounding inspections, and thermography reports. 

This is a 100% travel position, but all candidates must be in the Greenville/Anderson/Greenwood area. All expenses except lunch are covered while on the road. Each week, the team will meet at the Company HQ in Anderson and then travel together to their designated location for the week. They will take care of all sites in that area that are on the schedule, so you leave on Monday morning and return on Friday evening. Lodging will be a mix of hotels and Airbnb's. All vehicles, tools, etc, will be provided. 

Candidates should expect 10 plus hours of OT each week. Techs making $35/hr generally make close to $100k for the year.

Base pay $30-35/hr DOE plus OT. The Hiring Group provides excellent medical benefits and pays 50% of the employee only cost. This position will also include 10 days of PTO.
