Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
• 1 year of experience in a dental office or clinic
• Must be certified to take X-rays
Responsibilities:
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures.
• Chart findings under the direction of the dentist.
• Prepare dental tools, equipment, and workspaces; ensure sterilization of tools.
• Perform suction, retraction, irrigation, and drying during procedures.
• Expose and process radiographs; mount, label, and evaluate for diagnostic quality.
• Take impressions of teeth for study models, casts, and appliances; pour and trim casts.
• Manage appointment schedules and maintain call lists.
• File, retrieve, and maintain dental records in compliance with policies.
• Prepare laboratory documentation, prescriptions, and dental referrals.
• Educate patients on preventative and post-procedural care.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervising dentist.
