Design Assistant (Seasonal)

This position is responsible for the assistance in holiday design and replications, as well as organizing and staging product for installation. This position works closely with and reports to the Holiday Design Manager. This is a temporary, seasonal position, typically lasting 5 months, working 32 to 40 hours per week from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for replicating design samples for artificial wreaths, trees and arrangements

• Check and refresh existing décor to ensure design presentation, quality and function of décor elements

• Organize decorations and materials necessary for installation

• Responsible for assisting in inventory tracking and management

• Operating tools, ladders and lifts as needed to complete job requirements

• Organize and clean up the work area around each plant/flower or area in the warehouse

• All other duties as assigned

1. Describe the nature and extent of knowledge required to perform acceptable work. 

• Floral design, display and/or visual merchandising experience is a plus.

• Must be service oriented to meet/exceed customers’ needs.

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently.

• Must be able to work safely on ladders 8-10’/H and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Must have an attention to detail.

• Working on feet for long periods throughout the day.

• Must be able to work independently in an efficient and organized manner.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
