Summary

The State Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to join our Buffalo, NY team. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee $25M+ in union electrical construction projects, manage estimating and project teams, and play a key role in the successful execution of heavy industrial projects. This is a high-impact position with strong growth and advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical estimating and project management team.

• Oversee multi-trade construction projects from planning to execution.

• Supervise senior project managers and estimators.

• Interface with clients and contractors to build strong relationships.

• Review bids, manage costs, and lead risk mitigation.

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ISO9001:2015 standards.

• Travel occasionally for pre-bid and construction meetings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management/estimating experience in construction.

• Proven leadership in heavy industrial electrical projects.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience managing projects of various sizes, from service to turnkey.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to identify and manage project cost uncertainties.
