Electrical Design Engineer 5

Our client, a world leader in biotechnology, is looking for a “Electrical Design Engineer 5” based out of Milpitas, CA.

 
Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

• Design and develop electrical parts, modules, and subsystems for complex systems
  

• Own the complete design lifecycle from requirements and feasibility to manufacturing handoff
  

• Perform electrical, power, timing, thermal, and load analysis
  

• Develop schematics, simulations, and detailed design documentation using industry tools
  

• Program and support PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  

• Support prototype build, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  

• Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams
  

• Lead design reviews and present technical solutions to stakeholders
  

• Work with suppliers to ensure design requirements, quality, and timelines are met
  

• Resolve product issues across development, production, and post -release phases
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  

• 8–12+ years of experience in electrical design and system development
  

• Strong hands -on experience with circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools (OrCAD, PSpice)
  

• Experience with FPGA / EPLD development tools (Xilinx, Altera)
  

• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar)
  

• Experience supporting prototypes and transitioning designs to manufacturing
  

• Strong understanding of system -level integration and testing
  

• Excellent problem -solving, communication, and leadership skills
  

• Experience working with cross -functional teams and external suppliers
