Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with IEPs in a pull-out or push-in model.


• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).


• Administer and interpret assessments to inform instruction and track progress.


• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet students' unique learning needs.


• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families.


• Maintain accurate records and document student performance and IEP compliance.


• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and staff development sessions.


• Support student behavior using proactive, positive interventions and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching certificate with any of the following endorsements is required: SA, SB, SC, SE, SK, SL, SM, or SV.


• Must be highly qualified to teach K-5 special education.


• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.


• Interest in working in supplemental athletics and/or academic activities preferred.
