Position Details:

• Title: Elementary Special Education Teacher Aide


• Location: Larchmont, NY


• Duration: September 2025 to May 2026


• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite


• Position Type: Contract


• Working Hours: 30-35 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday


• Student Age Group: Elementary school

Responsibilities:

• Support students with special needs as per their IEP


• Collaborate with special education teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s success


• Monitor the health and well-being of students


• Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration


• Willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training


• Data collection and implementation of behavior plans


• Assist classroom teacher as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all ages


• Experience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges


• Special Education Teacher Aide experience preferred


• High School Diploma
