As we expand our school-based mental health program, we are seeking passionate, skilled clinicians to work directly in school settings to support students’ emotional and behavioral well-being.



Position Overview


We are seeking a dedicated EMDR Therapist to deliver high-quality therapy to children, adolescents, and adults using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate, skilled approach to trauma therapy and be adept at working with diverse age groups.



Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct individual EMDR therapy sessions (typically 60–90 minutes) following the eight-phase protocol: history-taking, preparation, assessment, desensitization, installation, body scan, closure, and re-evaluation.

  • Provide in-office therapy and optional telehealth sessions.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.

  • Document all client interactions, maintain treatment progress notes, and use EMR/EHR systems efficiently.

  • Collaborate in clinical case discussions, attend staff meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development.

  • Potentially deliver services to both children and adults, customizing approaches like play-based EMDR for younger clients

  • Foster a therapeutic environment that supports emotional safety and healing, with awareness of the potential for triggering during EMDR




Qualifications



  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.

  • Full or provisional licensure in South Carolina (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).

  • Completion of EMDR training (Level I required; Level II or EMDRIA Certification preferred).

  • Experience providing EMDR therapy to both children and adults is strongly desired.

  • Proficient in EMR/EHR systems and documentation best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to practice autonomously while collaborating within a team environment.

  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and continuous professional learning.
