Job Title: Emergency Communications

GovFirst is currently seeking experienced and certified Emergency
Communications Dispatch professional(s) to support emergency communications
operations in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This role is critical to ensuring
continuity of emergency services and public safety operations.

We are looking for highly qualified dispatchers who can integrate quickly
into an established communications environment and perform essential dispatch
duties with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate maintains the highest
standards of professionalism, accuracy, and composure while working in
high -pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process 9 -1 -1, non -emergency, and administrative calls.
  
• Accurately enter call information into the Computer -Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  system.
  
• Dispatch police, fire, EMS, or other assigned disciplines.
  
• Monitor radio and communication systems to ensure timely response.
  
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and public safety standards.
  
• Maintain professional, courteous, and ethical conduct always.
  

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding or training.
  
• Strong communication, multitasking, and decision -making skills.
  
• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including nights,
  weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  
• Must be dependable and punctual due to the mission -critical nature
  of emergency communications.
  

• Working knowledge of one or more of the following systems (or equivalent):
  
• Tyler CAD
  
• L3 Harris Symphony Radio Consoles
  
• Vesta Call Handling Equipment
  
• RapidSOS
  software
  

• IAED Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Fire Dispatch, Police Dispatch and/or EMS
  Dispatch.
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  

• U.S. Citizen
