Job Description - Emergency Services Project Manager

Spyder Construction is a full-service general contractor specializing in large loss insurance restoration, structural repairs, capital improvement, and roofing projects for commercial and multi-family properties. We are committed to excellence and providing first-class service to every client on every project through clear communication, dedicated projected management, and the experience of our team.

For the organized leader who keeps complex projects on track, compliant, and profitable

Emergency service work moves fast, but it should never feel chaotic.

This role is for the professional who brings structure, coordination, and follow-through to high-stakes projects. As a Mitigation Project Manager, you will oversee projects from start to finish, lead field teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to plan.

If you are someone who values clear processes, accountability, and doing things the right way every time, this role was built for you.

Why This Role Matters

Mitigation projects impact people during stressful moments. Homeowners, insurance partners, and internal teams rely on a steady, organized leader to guide the work forward with clarity and professionalism.

The Mitigation Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of mitigation projects while maintaining safety, quality, financial control, and strong relationships.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mitigation projects, from scope development through closeout

  • Interpret work orders, job scopes, estimates, and insurance documentation to build clear project plans

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and in compliance with company standards

  • Partner closely with the Mitigation Manager, estimating team, and accounting

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Supervise and support Mitigation Leads, Technicians, and laborers

  • Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to field teams

  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure their work meets quality and safety expectations

  • Foster a consistent, professional team environment aligned with company values

Financial Management

  • Review job scopes and budgets with the estimating team

  • Track labor hours, materials, and project costs to maintain profitability

  • Prepare and submit billing documentation, including change orders and pay applications

  • Partner with Accounting to collect down payments and follow up on accounts receivable

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, insurance adjusters, and vendors

  • Provide clear, timely updates on project progress, challenges, and next steps

  • Host project kick-off meetings and participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings

  • Manage expectations through consistent and professional communication

Documentation, Quality & Safety

  • Maintain accurate job records including daily logs, photos, field reports, and safety documentation

  • Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, including PPE compliance

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and scope adherence

  • Identify and escalate scope changes, risks, or unforeseen conditions to leadership

  • Resolve jobsite issues quickly to protect schedule, quality, and safety

Who Thrives in This Role

You:

  • Prefer structured workflows and clear accountability

  • Stay calm and organized under pressure

  • Follow processes consistently and expect others to do the same

  • Take pride in accurate documentation and financial discipline

  • Are comfortable leading teams through coordination rather than force

You do not need to be aggressive or sales-driven. Success here comes from consistency, clarity, and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

  • 3–5 years of experience in construction, restoration, or mitigation with project management responsibility

  • IICRC certifications required (WRT, FSRT, AMRT)

  • Demonstrated experience leading crews and managing subcontractors

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency with job management and time-tracking software

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Work Environment

  • Field-based role with regular travel between job sites

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience

  • Commission eligible

  • Benefits include:

    • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance

    • Company-Paid Life Insurance

    • 401(k) with 4% company match

    • Paid Time Off and Sick Leave

    • Optional Accident and Critical Illness Insurance

    • Employee Assistance Program

If you are an organized, steady leader who values structure, safety, and accountability, we want to hear from you.

Pay range

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
