Job Title: Per Diem EMT Instructor

Job Type: Part-time, Temporary

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Per Diem EMT Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction, hands-on training, and simulation exercises to train and develop Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). The Per Diem EMT Instructor will be available on an as-needed basis to supplement our full-time faculty during periods of peak demand, vacations, or other absences. This position requires a strong commitment to student success, professionalism, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and informative classroom lectures and hands-on training sessions to students enrolled in EMT, EMT Refreshers and EMT Continuing Education courses in compliance with NJ OEMS requirements
• Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessment tools to support effective teaching and learning
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure that courses are delivered in accordance with program policies and standards.
• Participate in program evaluations and continuous improvement efforts.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active EMT or Paramedic certification.
• At least three years of experience working as an EMT or Paramedic.
• Current NJ EMT Instructor certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work on a per diem basis.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to demonstrate and perform various skills and techniques required of an EMT.
