English teacher for children and adults in Franklin, TN

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring English Language Teachers to provide in-person customized lessons to children and adults in Franklin, TN.

Job Information:

• Class numbers: 186089 & 187654
• Students: One child (4 years old) and one adult taking separate classes
• Availability: The child is available on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays at 9:30am. The adult (mother) is available on Thursdays at 11am. 
• Lesson frequency: Once a week (per student)
• Lesson length: 60 minutes (per session/student)
• Location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home in Franklin, TN 37067 (near Marcella Vivrette Smith Park at 1825 Wilson Pike, Brentwood, TN 37027)
• Current target language level: Both students are beginners
• Native language: Portuguese
• Students' goals: The child needs to be literate in English. The adult needs to focus on daily life communication and conversation (conversational approach preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
