English teacher in Princeton, NJ

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person lessons to our client.

• Location: Princeton, New Jersey – Near N. Harrison St. & Terhune Rd. 

• Preferred start date: ASAP

• Lesson format: Face-to-face (1 in-person + 1 virtual lesson per week)

Details

• Availability: After 4:00 pm Monday–Thursday or 8:00–9:00 am Tuesday–Thursday

• Lesson Frequency: 2 times per week

• Lesson Duration: 1 hour each

• Current level: Advanced

• Native/other languages: German (native), Spanish (intermediate), Portuguese (basic)

• Goals:

  • Reach near-native proficiency in English

  • Strengthen grammar, pronunciation, and business language

  • Focus on pharmaceutical and professional vocabulary

• Additional Information:

  • Interests: soccer, nutrition, recent history, New York City, surfing, outdoor sports

  • Prefers practical examples, direct feedback, and conversation-based learning

Responsibilities

• Design lessons that challenge an advanced learner toward native-level proficiency

• Emphasize professional and industry-specific vocabulary (pharmaceutical focus)

• Provide grammar refinement and pronunciation support

• Use real-life examples, conversations, and situational practice

• Offer structured feedback and strategies to close proficiency gaps

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in English

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, linguistics, education, or related field

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching advanced learners

• Experience with business/professional English, ideally in pharmaceutical contexts

• Ability to adapt lessons to learner’s interests and preferred learning style
