ESL Instructor

POSITION SUMMARY: MLS has a requirement for an experienced ESL instructor to join a short-term program in Ashland, Virginia. Classes will be conducted twice a week, 2 classes each day for 2 hours each + 1 hour of prep time for groups of approximately 6 students each, mostly beginners. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Teach ESL courses to adult students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments.
• Use technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Document and assess student progress.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: None

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience instructing adult learners.
• Experience developing instructional materials.
• A minimum of three years of ESL/EFL teaching experience with adults.
•  Bachelor's Degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or Adult Education
