Job Description - Events Senior Specialist

SUMMARY 


At Magnolia, the Events Senior Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing event strategies, contributing to seamless execution of both large and small brand events. This position coordinates hospitality needs and fosters exceptional guest experiences. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Senior Manager of Brand Experience and has no supervisory responsibilities. 


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • Develop and execute event strategies in partnership with Brand Experience leadership, aligning them with organizational goals and ensuring seamless execution of all brand events* 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for venue rentals at the Magnolia Silos property, collaborating closely with third parties* 

  • Coordinate all hospitality-related needs across events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences* 

  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to orchestrate successful events 

  • Adhere to brand event processes and documentation standards, while actively proposing enhancements for continuous optimization 

  • Contribute to the setup, execution, and teardown of all events while proactively addressing any challenges that arise* 

  • Propose creative event concepts, incorporating emerging trends and technologies 

  • Provide recommendations to Brand Experience leadership for optimizing resources and cost-effectiveness in event planning 

  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 



  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred 

  • 2-4 years of experience with a related degree, 4-7 years of experience with a non-related degree, or 5+ years of industry experience preferred 

  • Required to work all Magnolia events; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may increase during specific events and large-scale concerts.
