Job Description - Excavator with a CDL Class A License

Excavator Operator / CDL Class A Driver

Krügel Cobbles, Inc. is seeking a seasoned and dependable CDL Class A operator to join our field operations team for the 2026 season, beginning early spring (hiring starts late fall of this year).

This position is ideal for an experienced professional who is comfortable hauling equipment, operating excavation machinery, and working as a crew. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and can be trusted to operate company equipment independently.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a two-axle dump truck requiring a Class A CDL
Haul materials between job sites, the yard, and authorized dump locations
Transport excavation equipment using trailers
Operate excavation equipment for grading, trenching, digging, and backfilling
Perform occasional manual labor to support job completion
Work closely with a partner to efficiently complete daily job objectives
Maintain DOT compliance, conduct vehicle inspections, and care for equipment

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record
Experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed

Pay & Benefits

$24.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
401(k) with company matching available after 90 days of employment
