Summary of Job Duties:

UA Little Rock is seeking to hire a temporary Extra Help Assistant/Consultant in the School of Physical Science at the Center for Molecular Design and Development to perform the following duties: Update the center's webpage and computer capabilities. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • PhD in Information Technology or a closely related field;

  • Linux Systems experience;

  • Cybersecurity experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Center for Molecular Design and Development with the center's computer capabilities;

  • Assist with the webpage for the Center for Molecular Design and Development at UA Little Rock;

  • Update the Linux computer system used by the Center for Molecular Design and Development at UA Little Rock.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Linux operating system operations;

  • Information Technology knowledge;

  • Knowledge in Linux's strategy that combines traditional permissions with modern level isolation and administrative policies;

  • Cybersecurity knowledge;

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written.
