Facilities Maintenance/Landscaper

Description

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. The Savior Pastoral Center is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance/Landscaper. This position will assist with a variety of custodial, maintenance and landscaping tasks for the Savior Pastoral Center. This position is part-time, seasonal, primarily in Spring and Summer, averaging 20-22 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean facility following a regimen of custodial tasks, including cleaning and dusting all furniture, toilets, sinks and washes windows as needed.
• Assist the groundskeeper with upkeep of lawn care including mowing, landscaping, trimming shrubs and trees and driveway maintenance as needed.
• Set up all meeting rooms including tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment as specified. Provide water service and ice for groups upon request.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as painting, changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and other activities as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong custodial skills including the ability to keep aware of all areas needing attention.
• Knowledge and ability to resolve minor maintenance issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Experience with similar duties and responsibilities is helpful.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.
