Salary range: $55,000–$60,000, based on experience and qualifications
This role is currently a full-time contracted position. The organization anticipates the possibility of transitioning the role to full-time exempt staff in July 2026, subject to funding.
What You’ll Do
Family Outreach and Program Leadership
Conduct family assessments (quarterly or as needed) to identify strengths, goals, and support needs
Connect families to community resources, including healthcare, education, housing, food, legal services, and employment support
Refer students to the ourBRIDGE afterschool program
Plan and coordinate family workshops, trainings, and events in collaboration with lead staff and community partners
Integrate family engagement with education, health, disability, nutrition, and social services
Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date resource directory for families, staff, and community partners
Develop two practical guides for ORR-eligible families: one focused on navigating the school system and one on welcoming and acculturation
Support advocacy efforts related to language access and justice
Supervision and Team Collaboration
Supervise part-time Family Support Navigators who provide services in families’ first languages
Collaborate with lead staff and social work interns to strengthen program delivery
Support a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture
Compliance, Data, and Evaluation
Track and document all services and referrals accurately
Use data to evaluate effectiveness and improve family engagement practices
Monitor family service budgets in coordination with leadership and finance staff
Prepare required reports and maintain ORR grant documentation
Draft and proofread correspondence and program reports
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, social or behavioral sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
At least three years of experience in family support, human services, or community-based work
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
Experience with child welfare and/or home visiting services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use technology and data systems for documentation, reporting, and communication
Bilingual fluency in Dari or Pashto
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or a related field
Two years of supervisory or management experience
Conditions of Employment
Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification after hire and maintain certification as required
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance
Ability to travel locally for home visits, meetings, trainings, and events
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 30 lbs and working in community settings
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Combination of onsite work, community-based home visits, and remote work
Ability to sit, walk, lift up to 30 lbs, use a computer for extended periods, and travel in varying weather conditions
Hiring Process
