Freelance Digital Product Designer

Who are we hiring?  

The Freelance Digital Product UI/UX Designer will be responsible for shaping how our brands and venues’ vision is expressed across the digital product ecosystem, with a focus on web and mobile applications. This role partners closely with the Associate Creative Director, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver best-in-class user experiences across all platforms.  

What will you do?   

• Develop data-informed wireframes, user flows, UI designs, and supporting documentation and presentations. 

• Partner closely with Marketing Strategy, IT, and other key stakeholders to define product opportunities and contribute to overall product strategy.  

• Execute final pixel-perfect UI designs; package, spec, and prepare assets for IT, and collaborate to ensure deliverables meet technical requirements and documentation standards.  

• Support asset creation and publishing across all MSG platforms, including the Knicks, Rangers, MSG.com, Rockettes, and mobile applications. 

• Manage your bandwidth and project pipeline to execute UI/UX design in line with the team’s product roadmaps  

• Contribute to the maintenance of design systems and libraries in collaboration with the broader Marketing and Design teams to ensure consistent visual standards across products 

• Quickly iterate and deliver multiple design variations based on stakeholder feedback and insights from user testing or data. 

• Ensure designs align with external vendor capabilities and technical constraints. 

• Present design concepts to team members and stakeholders 

What do you need to succeed?    

• 2+ years of digital product design experience 

• Previous UI/UX product design experience at consumer-focused technology companies or top-tier media, entertainment, or sports organizations  

• Exceptional user interface and interaction design skills.  

• Exceptional design velocity, with the ability to rapidly produce multiple concepts and iterations.  

• Experience designing across a range of screen sizes and platforms, including fully responsive web experiences and mobile applications.  

• Must be organized with exceptional time management and multitasking skills, with an ability to thrive under pressure Excellent communication and organizational skills 

• Experience creating interactive prototypes and incorporating motion and animation into UI/UX experiences.  

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
