Seasonal/Part-time
Starting Pay: $13/hr

Are you ready to make a splash this summer? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to become a vital part of our pool season team! If you love working with people and enjoy a dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Position Overview: As a Gate Worker, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a fun and safe experience for all pool patrons. The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, and your contributions will be essential to our success!

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Champion: Greet patrons with a smile, collect entry fees, and answer questions to ensure a welcoming experience.
Operational Excellence: Open admissions and concession areas, maintaining smooth daily operations.
Financial Accuracy: Collect fees, issue receipts, and keep meticulous records of all revenue during your shift.
Information Resource: Assist pool users by providing brochures, directions, and information on pool rules and regulations.
Emergency Preparedness: Communicate effectively with staff and public safety officials during emergencies.
Environment Steward: Conduct litter pick-up and maintain cleanliness in and around the admissions area and pool.
Tech Savvy: Operate various office equipment and maintain office supply inventories.
Professional Interaction: Build effective relationships with supervisors, staff, patrons, and external partners.
Custodial Duties: Keep workspaces organized and perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
Team Collaboration: Attend department meetings and assist with additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Attend mandatory training prior to each season.

Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of city policies and procedures relevant to the role.
Strong clerical and organizational skills.
Familiarity with laws, ordinances, and safety regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships.
Proficient in operating office equipment and performing basic mathematical calculations.
