German Language Teacher in Plymouth, MI

Job Information:

• Ref: 189328
• Student: 1 adult
• Location: 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170
• Availability: Monday and Friday mornings (student’s assistant will arrange scheduling)
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 2 times per week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour per session
• Current language level: A2
• Languages spoken: English, German, Italian
• Time zone: Eastern Time (ET)

Student’s goals (summary):
The student is relocating to Germany in October 2025 and needs to improve fluency and confidence in spoken German for both professional and daily life contexts. Key priorities include:

• Finance and work-related vocabulary

• Everyday communication and dialogue

• Building fluency and confidence in speaking

• Expanding vocabulary for relocation needs

• Developing listening comprehension for professional and social settings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored, interactive, and practical German lessons

• Focus on speaking and dialogue practice relevant to finance and everyday life

• Incorporate real-life scenarios to prepare for relocation to Germany

• Track progress and adjust lessons as needed

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in German

• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, linguistics, or related field

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience with adults

• Ability to create engaging, goal-oriented lessons
