Ground Force Commander Role Player (GFC)

Locations: Davis Monthan Air Forces Base (DMAFB), AZ; Tucson, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; and San Diego, CA 

Dates: Multiple Courses per year

We are seeking Ground Force Commander (GFC) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support a formal course conducting full mission profiles in both Land and Maritime environments. This is a temporary contract position aligned with the course schedule and locations throughout the year. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The GFC primary role is to synchronize efforts with the lead Government phase instructor.
• The secondary role of the GFC is to lead, manage, and organize all contractor personnel throughout the operation.
• The GFC will synchronize efforts with the lead Government phase instructor and manage all contractor personnel during the operation.
• The GFC will take direction for Phase execution from the lead government phase instructor and communicate with all contract personnel via provided communication devices during FMP execution.
• Share knowledge of Small Unit Tactics (SMUT) from SODIC, Marine Recon Basic Course, Ranger course, Special Forces Q Course, or equivalent GFC course.
• The GFC may also be required to perform duties as a Role Player in a scenario.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Minimum of three (3) years as a team leader on a SOF team, with combat deployment experience in Afghanistan or Iraq with a SOF unit within the last 15 years.
• Graduate of Ranger school, Marine Recon Leaders course, Navy Seal Platoon leaders’ course or other service equivalent.
• Experience as a Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) or Commander (CDR) for team, flight, troop, squadron, and department levels in a Special Operations Unit.
• Eligible for a SECRET Clearance.
• Experience as a High-Risk TSO and/or RSO, with a full understanding of all risks, safety considerations, and contingencies related to conducting high-risk training. This includes knowing the proper use of RPs in scenarios and what controls need to be implemented for the safety of everyone at a training site.
• Be physically fit, with no limitations that would prohibit working (12)-hr. days, day, or night, in austere environments, or in harsh weather. Must be able to swim 200-meters nonstop within 15 minutes in open seas.
