Grounds Cleaner

Position Summary:
The Grounds Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community's exterior grounds and common areas. This role helps create a welcoming and safe environment for residents and visitors by ensuring the property is clean, well-maintained, and free of debris.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily exterior cleaning of sidewalks, parking lots, and common outdoor areas
   
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property, including near dumpsters and entryways
   
• Clean and maintain common areas such as breezeways, stairwells, and mail stations
   
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and entryways as needed (seasonal)
   
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to property management
   
• Assist with light landscaping tasks as directed (e.g., sweeping, raking, watering plants)
   
• Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and stored properly
   

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
   
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, or cleaning work is a plus
   
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
   
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
   
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Requirements

• Capable of following all safety specifications
• Experience working as a cleaner
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Capable of completing work requiring physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching and repetitive motion
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Take and pass a drug screening test
• Take and pass a background screening
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
