Job Title: Seasonal Groundskeeper

Job Summary: As a Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of outdoor spaces, such as walkways, gardens, and recreational areas. Your primary duties will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, removing debris, and ensuring that all grounds are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. You will work independently under the supervision of the Director of Plant Operations, and your work will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for visitors and residents.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine grounds keeping tasks, such as mowing, trimming, mulching, and edging lawns.
2. Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal needs.
3. Rake and remove leaves, branches, and other debris from lawns and pathways.
4. Painting and repairing fences when needed. 
5. Operate and maintain grounds keeping equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
6. Monitor and report any issues related to plant health, pest infestations, or damage to property.
7. Ensure that pathways, sidewalks, and parking lots are clear of any hazards.
8. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while performing grounds keeping tasks.
9. Communicate effectively with supervisor to coordinate work schedules and address any concerns or issues.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic horticulture principles and practices.
• Ability to operate grounds keeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
• A valid driver's license may be required. 
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks as necessary.
