Job Description - Healthcare Subject Matter Expert

Position: Healthcare SME Consultant
Location: Arizona Federal detention facility
Duration: September 2025 (specific dates TBD)
Security Clearance: NACI background check required

Position Summary
We seek Healthcare Subject Matter Experts to serve as members of the Quality Assurance Review team for a federal detention facility. The SMEs will assess medical, mental health, and dental services provided to detainees.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate quality and access to medical services
Assess mental health program effectiveness
Review dental care delivery systems
Examine healthcare policies and procedures
Interview healthcare staff and review documentation
Assess compliance with healthcare standards
Prepare comprehensive healthcare assessment reports
Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in healthcare delivery within correctional or detention settings
Clinical background in medicine, nursing, mental health, or related field
Knowledge of correctional healthcare standards and regulations
Experience with healthcare quality assurance processes
Strong documentation and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
US citizenship required for security clearance

Travel Requirements
Travel to facility location required. Government reimburses actual travel costs.
