- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience: 2+ years \- Required

Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ARRT \- Required
- BLS Certification from AHA \- Required

Job Description:
- Under the administrative direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Radiation Safety Officer and the clinical direction of the Radiologists, performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures in the application of the radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Performs a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures using radioisotope material and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans.
- Coordinates and schedules patients, both routinely and emergency procedures.
- When necessary, obtains additional clinical history from patient and ordering physician.
- Performs all requested procedures, setting the appropriate technical factors.
- Using the computer, enhances all areas of interest and duplicates all images to hard permanent copy.
- Informs Radiation Safety Officer of any leaks, spills, etc., and takes appropriate steps to isolate spills or leaks, protecting patient and personnel from further contamination.
