Home Care Nurse- Private Duty in North Port

Location: North Port, FL
Pay- $28-$33 an hour 
Position Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Overnight)
Duration: May 12 – May 31 (with potential for ongoing needs)

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide private duty care for a 22-year-old male residing in North Port, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care, as well as a background in assisting individuals with quadriplegia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nightly monitoring and management of trach and ventilator.

• Perform suctioning and equipment maintenance as needed.

• Assist with all aspects of personal care, including repositioning, hygiene, and safety.

• Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment.

• Document care provided and report any changes in condition to family or supervising provider.

• Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervised setting within the last three (3) years
• Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
• In compliance with state and Federal regulations
• CPR
• Valid AHCA/ level two background screening
• TB test showing a negative result
