Job Description - IT Support Specialist (Future Contract Opportunity)


Job Summary

TalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of IT support professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.

The IT Support Specialist provides technical support and business systems assistance to users across departments. This role supports applications, resolves technical issues, and ensures the effective operation of systems and technology used in daily operations.

The position combines user support, systems administration, and basic business analysis to improve system performance, support users, and maintain data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline technical support (Tier 1 and Tier 2) for applications, systems, and end users 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and connectivity issues 
  • Serve as application administrator, including managing configurations, access, and system updates 
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and system availability 
  • Maintain documentation, user guides, and system procedures 
  • Coordinate with IT teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and support system enhancements 
  • Manage and track support tickets, ensuring timely resolution 
  • Assist with system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities 
  • Develop and deliver training for end users on systems and applications 
  • Support reporting needs and maintain reporting tools and data outputs 
  • Assist in identifying business needs and recommending system or process improvements 
  • Support audio-visual and technology needs for meetings and events 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 
  • Experience in technical support, user support, or application administration 
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software applications, and troubleshooting techniques 
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues 
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users 
  • Experience with system documentation and training development 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and business users 
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
