Summary: Seeking a clinically strong, organized, and compassionate School Nurse Leader to oversee all clinical nursing services across its special education programs. The ideal candidate will be a licensed RN with experience in school nursing and administrative leadership. This role combines clinical oversight, mentorship, staffing, policy development, and collaboration across schools, agencies, and the administrative team to support the health and safety of students and staff. What You’ll Do: • Supervise, evaluate, and support the performance of all nursing staff • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, manuals, and documentation procedures • Coordinate nursing schedules, coverage, and staffing needs across programs • Ensure compliance with DESE, DPH, HIPAA, FERPA, and medication protocols • Serve as liaison between host districts, consulting physicians, and regulatory agencies • Conduct training, in-services, and certifications required for school health program approval • Manage health budgets, supplies, screenings, and support afterschool/recreation programs Experience You’ll Need: • Valid RN license in Massachusetts and DESE School Nurse Licensure (initial or professional) • Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred) • At least 3 years of experience as a school nurse, including administrative or supervisory functions • Proficiency in SNAP Health EHR and current CPR/First Aid/BLS certification • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Experience supporting students with disabilities, including complex health needs |
