Job Description - Lead SPM Developer

Lead SPM Developer, 
Charlotte, NC  

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead SPM Developer to architect and implement advanced ServiceNow solutions for a strategic enterprise client. This role focuses on designing and deploying modules across the ServiceNow ecosystem, including SPM, CMDB, SAM, APM/EA, Discovery, and Service Mapping.

You’ll lead platform enhancements, integrations, and data governance initiatives while enforcing CSDM standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, analysts, and SMEs to deliver scalable, compliant solutions and mentor junior developers to uphold technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

•  Architect, design, and configure ServiceNow modules: CMDB, SPM, SAM, APM/EA, Discovery, Service Mapping
•  Customize and enhance platform capabilities using scripting, automation, and APIs
•  Build and manage integrations with external systems (e.g., Ariba, cloud platforms, messaging tools)
•  Maintain CMDB health via normalization, reconciliation, and data certification
•  Enforce CSDM standards across modules and business services
•  Support UAT, SIT, and production validation through test case execution
•  Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and propose scalable solutions
•  Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and support materials
•  Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
•  Participate in deployment planning, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization



Requirements

•  Proven experience implementing ServiceNow SPM and related modules
•  Strong expertise in CMDB architecture and health maintenance
•  Hands-on experience with Service Mapping, Discovery, and SAM
•  Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript), automation, and REST/SOAP APIs
•  Experience integrating ServiceNow with external platforms (e.g., Ariba, cloud services)
•  Deep understanding of CSDM framework and its application across modules
•  Strong collaboration skills with architects, analysts, and SMEs
•  Ability to lead technical teams and enforce architectural standards
•  Excellent documentation and communication skills
•  Experience supporting enterprise deployments and post-go-live operations
