Adelphi is seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide on-site nursing care at a residential behavioral health facility in Howard County, Texas. The ideal candidates will assist with direct patient care, support medication administration, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams in a structured behavioral health environment.

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Initial 2–3 weeks; Monday–Friday daytime schedule, including on-unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN
Regular schedule; Alternating shifts to meet facility staffing needs
Every other weekend off
Flexible start dates (Monday–Friday),with a minimum of 5 business days required for pre-employment processing
• Rate: $33–$36/hr
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited LVN/LPN program
• Active, unrestricted LVN or LPN license in the State of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, long-term care, or dual diagnosis preferred
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association only)
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Negative PPD test within the last 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination card (if applicable)
• Must comply with agency & facility requirements, including drug screening & FBI fingerprint background check
• Must comply with agency and facilty immunization requirements
• Must complete all required facility and agency training requirements
• All compliance must be completed and approved prior to the start date — no exceptions
• Time off during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays is not available due to facility coverage needs
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with facility protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients on medications and individual healthcare plans.
• Conduct and document assessments of injuries, illnesses, and acute conditions.
• Accurately complete electronic medical records (EMR); full training provided.
• Comply with SOPs and all applicable regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, agency, and facility policies).
• Support infection control efforts, including TB testing, COVID/flu vaccinations, and related health initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with RNs, nurse managers, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Perform computer data entry and other clinical tasks as required.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
